Cypress Adaptive has launched the Vista Ankle, a universal, single-axis prosthetic ankle designed for mechanical elevated vacuum suspension. The achievable level of vacuum is determined by the compression of the plantar flexion bumper that occurs during gait; the unit comes with four different plantar flexion bumpers, each of which can be fine-tuned. The barb is located inside the proximal tube clamp so that the hose can be hidden in the pylon, eliminating system failure caused by an unprotected hose-barb connection. The Vista Ankle is compatible for use with any low profile K2-K3 prosthetic foot.
