Delcam has introduced an enhanced version of its OrthoModel design software for ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) custom insoles, now with options for corrective orthotic devices in addition to accommodative devices. The new release, OrthoModel 2013 R2, allows users to apply corrective modifications, including intrinsic forefoot and rearfoot posts and heel raises and lifts. The software also features new data-trimming tools to allow removal of unwanted data before aligning a scan. Faster alignment tools reduce design time while providing key information such as arch height and scan length.
