New Balance 1226

This fall, Boston-based New Balance will expand its NBx running collection with the introduction the New Balance 1226, a high mileage trainer for the runner looking for moderate stability and exceptional cushioning. N-ergy cushioning diffuses heel strike impact for a smooth, responsive ride during even the longest training runs. Stabilicore, a medial support system that provides a smooth transition from heel strike to toe off, offers pronation control. The streamlined upper wraps the midfoot to deliver a secure fit with fewer material overlays and a soft toe cap offers a sock-like fit for a smooth and springy toe-off during each step. The 1226 will launch in July and retail for $139.95.
