Amfit announces the release of the Contact LT for digital casting and design of custom foot orthotics. The Contact LT (or “light”) is smaller and lighter than the full-featured Contact Digitizer, but still sturdy enough for full weight-bearing scans. The Contact LT allows 3D contact digital casting using 538 sensor pins under operator variable pressure to obtain plantar contours. Other features include single-button Flash Scan operation for start-to-finish scans in 10 seconds, remote control, and a laser guide for calcaneal alignment. Orthotic design software, software updates, a two-year warranty, and lifetime support are also standard.
