James L. Hewlett, BOCO, took the reins as Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) chair on January 1, the same day a new Executive Committee began its term.
Hewlett, who has served on the BOC board in several capacities since 2008, is owner of Yuma Splint and Brace in Arizona, and has hands-on experience with facility accreditation and Medicare compliance.
New Executive Committee members are R. Jeffrey Hedges, CDME, vice chair; William J. Powers, MBA, LFACHE, secretary; James Newberry Jr, BOCPO, BOCPD, treasurer; Mark L. Parris, Pharm D, RPh, COF, member-at-large; and John P. Kenney, MURP, BOCO, immediate past chair.
