Hames Orthotech introduces the Hames Air Brace for treating plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis. Designed to be worn in a shoe, the brace allows for heel pain treatment during ambulation. With each step, the heel is cushioned by a U-shaped bladder surrounding the plantar insert. Air is displaced from this bladder to air cells behind the Achilles tendon, massaging the area. Removable stays along the Achilles tendon add support and increase pressure. Made from a rigid, ballistic poly-fiber material that is latex- and rubber-free, the brace is approved for reimbursement with code L1902.
