Out on a limb: Wins of change

Jordana Bieze Foster, Editor

Lower extremity healthcare is constantly changing. New products and techniques are developed and old products and techniques are modified in new ways. New technologies change the way we receive and process healthcare information. New research makes us rethink what we thought we knew.

Lower Extremity Review is very much a part of that constantly evolving milieu. That’s why we’ve made some changes to this year’s Resource Guide that should make it an even more effective tool for learning about the products your patients need and the companies that make them.

We’ve reorganized the Resource Guide categories to make products and companies easier to find. And we’ve given you a more detailed look at 20 of those companies in our new “Company Spotlight” profiles, where you might discover a company you’ve never heard of or learn something new about one you’ve worked with for years.

Change can require hard work, and the Resource Guide is no exception. I can’t say enough about the dauntless efforts of project editor Emily Delzell, who managed all of the editorial components, and executive assistant Tracy Goodman, who coordinated all of the company listings and advertisements. They made this special issue happen.

What hasn’t changed is the Resource Guide’s mission: To provide lower extremity practitioners with convenient access to all the products they rely on to improve patient outcomes.

I guess it’s true what they say. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
