Best Backs for Bikers

A good friend and client of mine, Giovanni Ficca with M-Brace calls me last week and asks how far I live from Lake George. “I live about 45 minutes from lake George. Why?” I ask. He says that M-Brace has a division called, BestBack that will be exhibiting at Americade. I say, “Do you ride?” He responds with “No , we have a back brace designed for bikers and will be showing the product. Also, my Vice President, Greg Culver will be there and you two should meet.” I have never been to Americade but this was an excellent opportunity to see my friend and meet the new VP so I decide to go and see what it’s all about. I was very impressed with the product that they have for bikers with back pain. As we know, bikers sit for long periods of time. Actually, one customer told me that he has ridden over 400,000 miles and has been to every state. Despite several surgeries, he is still in pain but will not stop riding no matter what the doctor’s say. “It’s a lifestyle and I love it!” he says. “I like the way BestBack feels and I am going to buy it.” In the few hours that I was there, everyone that tried on the product, loved it and sales were strong.

I always thought Americade was just tens of thousands od motorcyclists traveling across the country to different places. While, it is that. There is an outdoor tradeshow exposition and seminar presentations. This is a convention of sorts with various exhibits for anything to do with motorcycles and the lifestyle including health and wellbeing. It was cool. The people were great and the expereience was something I enjoyed. Not to mention, I got to hang out with a good friend of mine that I hadn’t seen in a while and share a latte with the new VP of the company. I had a great time. There are many opportunities in areas that we would never think to look.

Keep an open mind and you never know where it can lead you.

Thanks Giovanni and Greg!
