Thanks for posting this great information. The more quality material posted online on the topic of custom orthotic inserts the better. For the flat overpronated arch I recommend orthotics.

The off the shelf insole are great for providing cushioning but not the greatest for providing the right support because the off the shelf insole are soft and flexible.
Custom foot orthotics are the best option for correcting and supporting flat feet or pronation.
