The firm’s Visco-GEL® line provides pain relief for a variety of foot and toe ailments with a proprietary, U.S.-made gel that cushions, protects, and hydrates skin. For some patients with sensitive skin–and those who keep the products on for longer, uninterrupted use, overhydrated skin can result.
The new aerated designs provide pressure and friction reduction in combination with additional air flow to minimize the chances of skin maceration. Moisturization is a helpful component of the gel technology, but too much of a good thing can be unhelpful for some patients, thus tiny perforations were made in the original Toe Caps to help minimize saturation of skin tissue.
