The Dr. Flexa knee brace is built around AxisControl™ stabilizers, tri-weave neoprene, an open-patella cutout, and a silicone interior grip system. AxisControl is the brand’s proprietary lateral stabilizer system, integrated into the brace structure. It is designed to provide lateral support during movement and guide the joint through a more controlled range of motion. The intended effect is more controlled motion during walking, stair climbing, bending, and squatting, with lateral load on the joint surface managed through the stabilizer structure. The open-patella cutout leaves the kneecap exposed while the surrounding structure provides compression and lateral support, reducing direct pressure on the kneecap and allowing the patella to track naturally during movement. The brace interior has silicone grip strips designed to prevent the brace from migrating down the leg during movement. Wide Velcro straps allow the compression level to be adjusted in real time.
