Memphis, TN-based Solana Surgical’s new implant system began commercialization this month following its December clearance by the US Food and Drug Administration.
The CrossCheck Plating System is designed for use in podiatric and orthopedic foot and ankle procedures.
Its plates are manufactured with a Type II anodization, which enhances fatigue strength to improve stabilization.
In addition, ridges built into the plates enhance grip and act as a buttress during the compression process.
The first phase of the system’s commercialization includes plates that will be used primarily for stabilization and fixation (leading to fusion) in the forefoot and midfoot.
The CrossCheck Plating System comes in various sizes and configurations for specific surgical needs.
