Compression hosiery company Sigvaris and the Hayward, WI-based International Lymphedema & Wound Care Training Institute (ILWTI) announced in April that they’re partnering to provide a dual certification program in wound care and lymphedema.
The Lymphedema and Wound Therapist course is accredited by physical therapy, occupational therapy, and nursing state boards for 135-150 contact hours of continuing education. It includes 62.5 hours of online precourse work followed by six days of intensive labs and workshops.
Participants can choose from three groups of dates to complete the course’s lab and workshop portion, which will be offered at Sigvaris North America headquarters in Peachtree City, GA, May 29-June 3; July 30-August 1 and August 6-8 (a split session); and October 22-27.
