Shire Regenerative Medicine announced at the May 2013 Symposium on Advanced Wound Care and Wound Healing Society, held in Denver, CO, that it will partner with the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC) to provide a $100,000 grant for fellowships to advance the science of wound care in the US.
The unrestricted grant will sponsor two individual fellowships for the 2014-2015 academic year and is open to DPM, MD, and DO candidates in the US to support a postresidency or fellowship program focused on multidisciplinary wound healing and tissue preservation.
Application and selection process details for the fellowship program will be communicated in the upcoming months, according to Shire, which is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.
