PFA updates DMEPOS coding manual

An updated coding manual for foot and ankle devices is now available from the Pedorthic Footcare Association.

PFA members can download The January 2011 Updates to Modern Coding for Foot & Ankle DMEPOS  HCPCS Codes – An Analysis, Explanation, and Clarification by the PFA Coding  Committee from the association’s website at no cost. Print or CD versions may be purchased.

PFA’s first-ever pedorthic HCPCS coding manual has been updated for the first quarter of 2011. The 243 page illustrated manual provides advice and analysis of HCPCS (Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System) codes for  practitioners dispensing foot and ankle DMEPOS (Durable  Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies) devices.
