Ottobock to assist Invictus Games athletes

Austin, Texas-based Ottobock reported in July it will provide O&P technical services for the Invictus Games for the third year since the event’s 2014 inaugural competition in London, UK.

Established by England’s Prince Harry, the Invictus Games is the only international adaptive sporting event for ill, wounded, and injured military service members. With 550 competitors from 17 nations expected to participate this year, the Invictus Games will be held September 23-30 at sport venues throughout Toronto, Canada.

The technical services team will again be staffed with experienced Paralympic and Invictus team experts who can adjust, repair, or replace a prosthesis or brace for participants competing in 12 adaptive sports events, including archery, indoor rowing, powerlifting, cycling, swimming, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, track and field events, and golf.
