Trevose, PA-based Orthologix on June 1 launched a Patient Navigation Program for O&P patients.
The O&P care provider, which operates in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, began the two-year pilot program with a first phase devoted to prosthetic patients, particularly new amputees.
The nonclinical patient navigators will assist with coordination of care and connecting patients with insurer or healthcare system navigators and case managers, nurses, and other rehabilitation team members.
Orthologix’s patient navigators underwent training for the program at the University of Colorado’s School of Public Health in Boulder and are working with five regional insurance carriers in the tri-state area, as well as with local health systems.
