NBA commits to player health, wellness

In response to a 2014-2015 season marred by numerous injuries, the National Basketball Association (NBA) has partnered with General Electric Healthcare, whose US offices are in Waukesha, WI, to form a committee that will identify and design research projects that will help prevent injury through improved detection and treatment programs.

John DiFiori, MD, NBA director of sports medicine, will chair the committee, which will include orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine experts, radiologists, and epidemiologists.
