Masterfit offers new shoe courses

Masterfit University, the snowsports industry’s official fit education centers, has expanded its course offerings.

Masterfit U’s Masters, Masters-Backcountry Connection and Masters Plus courses individually qualify for continuing education credits from both the American Board for Certification in Orthotics Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABCOP, 14 credits) and the Board for Orthotist/Prosthetist Certification (BOC, 14.08 credits).

The Master’s Course is an intensive two-day session on Alpine and snowboarding boots for pedorthists and experienced fit technicians. Backcountry Connection parallels the core Master’s Course curriculum and teaches the techniques necessary for fitting and modifying Alpine Touring, Telemark and hiking boots as well as trail shoes. The Masters Plus (“Dark Arts”) Course is a two-day “doctorate” in boot fitting, open only to Masters Course graduates.

Future courses are scheduled for Oct. 28-29 in Breckenridge, CO, and Nov. 2-3 in Reno, NV. For more information, visit www.masterfituniversity.com.
