Endowment targets women’s health

The Foundation for Physical Therapy is proud to announce a new annual fundraising effort by the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Section on Women’s Health to support research in women’s health physical therapy.

“The Endowment for Research Excellence in Women’s Health Physical Therapy” was created in 2010 from a generous gift of $100,000 by the Section on Women’s Health. Section leaders aim to increase the endowment by $10,000 for 2011.

“This new campaign will help grow our endowment fund so that we will be able to invest in high-impact, cutting edge research in women’s health physical therapy that can be readily translated into evidence-based practice,” said Section on Women’s Health director of research Ann Marie Flores, PT, PhD, CLT.

Contributions to the endowment are tax-deductible and can be made online at Foundation4PT.kintera.org/SOWH. For more information, e-mail foundation@apta.org or call 800/875-1378.
