Deal with OHI grows Frazier Healthcare

Seattle-based Frazier Healthcare announced last month its acquisition of Orthotic Holdings Inc (OHI), which is headquartered in Markham, Ontario. OHI is a holding company of Langer Biomechanics, based in Ronkonkoma, NY; Arizona AFO, located in Mesa; and The Orthotic Group in Markham.

The deal includes placing Frazier operating partner Ivan “Van” Sabel at the head of OHI as its new chief executive officer (CEO). As the modern-day founder and former CEO and chairman of the board of 152-year-old Hanger, Sabel grew the business from $1.25 million in revenue to nearly $1 billion, while executing more than 100 practice acquisitions and several large strategic acquisitions.

Jason Kraus is president and chief operating officer (COO) of Langer Biomechanics and Arizona AFO and Bruce Marrison is president and COO of The Orthotic Group. The company has not disclosed the deal’s financial details.
