BOC makes key management changes

The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC), based in Owings Mills, MD, announced in April some key management changes to facilitate integration of its certification and accreditation departments and create a consolidated approach to credentialing.

Wendy Miller, BOCO, CDME, formerly director of facility accreditation, is now chief credentialing officer and will oversee the departmental integration and strategy, policies, and day-to-day credentialing program operations. A BOC-certified orthotist since 1994, Miller brings a practitioner’s perspective to the new role. Prior to joining BOC, Miller served on the BOC Board of Directors for six years, where she was instrumental in developing the orthotic fitter (COF) and mastectomy fitter (CMF) certifications.

Other changes include the promotion of Jeff Price, MCP, from director of operations to chief operating officer. Price has 15 years of nonprofit and association management expertise. He will direct BOC’s strategic and operational initiatives and collaborate with BOC leadership to define and implement strategies to support the organization’s strategic initiatives and growth.
