Roselle, NJ-based ComfortFit Orthotic Labs announced January 1 that Barbara Campbell, DPM, is the company’s new medical director. Her role includes assistance with product development and education.
Campbell, whose interests include forefoot surgery, diabetes, wound care, and biomechanics, joins ComfortFit from private practice in Scottsdale, AZ.
For the last nine years Campbell has been an advisory board member for the Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, where ComfortFit’s western regional office is located.
She has been a member of the Arizona State Board of Podiatry Examiners since 2010.
ComfortFit is an Advisory Board member of the American Podiatric Medical Students’ Association, and Campbell will help develop a mentoring program for recent graduates. She will also write articles and manage the “Ask the Doctor” feature on the company’s recently redesigned website.
The site relaunched last fall with new functions, including an expanded physician log-in section that allows practitioners to download sell sheets and order forms, order custom and noncustom orthoses, check order status and history, email technical questions, and review detailed descriptions of ComfortFit’s products.
