Art de Cure’s Albany, NY, board members presenteda $25,000 check to the American Diabetes Association (ADA) on June 3 at the Tour de Cure VIP Awards Dinner. The money was raised at a benefit held in the Art de Cure Gallery in April. More than 150 pieces of art were sold or auctioned off.
“We are thrilled to have raised $25,000—more than double the amount we raised at last year’s event,” said Richard Dubin, Lower Extremity Review publisher and member of the Art de Cure Board of Directors. “The money will be used by the ADA for diabetes education.”
Art de Cure partners with regional artists to display their works at its gallery housed at The Endocrine Group, an Albany medical practice specializing in diabetes care. In addition to the annual benefit, the group also provides the space to host three shows a year. The newest gallery recently opened at Albany’s Clinical Prosthetics & Orthotics facility and other galleries are slated to open in Seattle, WA, to benefit Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.
