The American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (AOPA) announces the 2013 World Congress of Orthotics & Prosthetics, which will take place September 18 through 21, 2013, at the Gaylord Palm Resort in Orlando.

This is the first AOPA-hosted World Congress of O&P, and in 2013 it will replace the AOPA National Assembly. The AOPA has established an international planning committee that is collaborating with O&P groups around the world. Two other major O&P world congresses are coming up: the Orthopädie + Reha-Technik in 2012 in Leipzig, Germany, and the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics’ 13th World Congress in 2013 in Hyderabad, India.
