AOMC names marketing, education lead

American Orthopedics Manufacturing Corporation, under new management since last year, named Teresa Hamm its new director of marketing and education in late 2012, said Chief Operating Officer Chris Gizzi, CO.

Hamm will be responsible for establishing and implementing educational programs for the company’s US O&P business.

Continuing education in the healthcare profession is the key to offering advanced solutions for positive outcomes, Gizzi said, noting that Hamm’s development of the new education department enhances the company’s custom manufactured bracing and custom shoe business.

Hamm will also spearhead promotion of the company’s new patented dynamic suspension ankle foot orthosis, the Revolution, and work with universities and facilities to conduct case studies that bring evidence-based information to medical professionals.

Hamm, a certified orthotic and mastectomy fitter, began her career in the healthcare industry as a sales manager and mastectomy fitter for a Tennessee medical equipment company; she began working in manufacturing in 2003.
