The Rosemont, IL-based American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) in July launched a consumer awareness campaign and website to help the public recognize the value of seeking a foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon for foot and ankle care.
The Look for the “O” campaign stresses the importance of choosing a specialized foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon when a person has foot pain or concerns.
The website, myfootcaremd.com, is designed to educate patients about foot and ankle surgeons’ specialized training and offers information about foot and ankle conditions and treatments and other resources.
