Amniox launches amniotic membrane technology in lower extremity markets

Marietta, GA-based Amniox Medical has introduced Neox products, cryopreserved human amniotic membrane grafts that maintain their innate biological and healing potential, to lower extremity practitioners.

Amniox premiered the grafts at the 2012 Annual Scientific Conference of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), held in March in San Antonio, TX.

Human amniotic membrane transplantation has been used for more than a century, and is a standard of care for a number of ophthalmic indications. Cryopreserved amniotic membrane has regenerative healing properties and in ocular surgery reduces inflammation, pain, scarring, and adhesion.

“We were excited to bring our advanced technology to ACFAS. With over 100,000 human transplants behind Amniox, our unique wound and soft tissue management will soon be a standard in the orthopedic and podiatric industries,” said Chris Fair, Amniox founder, president, and CEO.
