Ottobock in February named international snowboarding champion Keith Gabel of Ogden, UT, its newest Ottobock Ambassador. In this role, Ogden, a below knee amputee, will serve as role model for individuals with disabilities and showcase the technology he uses in daily life and in competition.
A member of the first US Paralympic Snowboarding National Team, Gabel is ranked number one in the world in the sport and is a favorite to medal as the event makes its Paralympic debut in Sochi, Russia, in March.
Ottobock announced in January that it is relocating its North America operations from its current base in Minneapolis, MN.
Fabrication and service will move to Salt Lake City, UT, and warehouse and logistics to Louisville, KY. The company will also relocate its regional headquarters to Austin, TX.
