Allied Plastic Supply offers Volara 4E, a 23 Durometer, cross-linked, closed cell, heat moldable polyethylene foam material. The grindable, auto-adhesive foam is designed to be utilized as padding and cushioning in splints, casts, and lower extremity orthotic devices. The foam features 80-110 tensile strength, a density of four pounds per cubic foot, and a 35-45 compression strength at 50% compression. The foam is available in both 1/8”x30”x150’ rolls and 3/16”x30”x100’ rolls and is now available in black as well as white. The foam has a molding temperature of 300° F for three minutes.
