Algeos USA announces the launch of Diaped Twin-Tip, a dual combination diagnostic device for testing the essential protective functions of thermal (warm/cold) discrimination and sensory perception in the feet of patients with diabetes. The Diaped Twin Tip is made from carbon and steel, which have different conduction properties; patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy may be unable to detect the resulting temperature difference. On one end of the Twin Tip is a mechanism for a 10-g monofilament for sensory perception testing; the device is packaged with 100 interchangeable monofilaments.
