Maddak sponsors networking, education program for occupational therapists

Pequannock, NJ-based Maddak launched a program in February designed to create a partnership between occupational therapists and the company, which manufactures products that simplify tasks of daily living, including eating, drinking, dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting.

According to Maddak, the goals of its OT Circle Program are facilitating opportunities for occupational therapists to connect with each other, educating the public on the roles occupational therapists play in patient care and treatment, and strengthening dialogue between the company and occupational therapists to develop professional assessment tools that further independent living.

The OT Circle is open to all occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, and occupational therapy students, all of whom can join at no cost. Members will receive opportunities to help with product design and development, sample new products, participate in focus groups and educational webinars, and network with Maddak employees. Additional benefits include free passes to trade shows and a monthly e-newsletter and other literature.
