LE professionals get active for veterans

Commerce City, CO-based Mile High Orthotics Lab and Mequon, WI-based Dr. Comfort joined forces in October to raise money for recovering US service members and veterans.

On October 7, a team of Mile High manufacturers and clinicians participated in the Tough Mudder competition near Austin, TX, to support the Wounded Warriors Project.

The Tough Mudder is a 12-mile race with 28 military style obstacles that include cold water and lots of mud.

On October 8, Greg Armstrong, CPed, president of Mile High Orthotics Lab, joined the Dr. Comfort golf team with podiatrists Jose Hilario, DPM, and Morris Stribling, DPM, to benefit disabled veterans at the South Texas Veterans Courage Classic Golf Tournament.

The two teams raised more than $6500.
