Irvine, CA-based Freedom Innovations in September released its new microprocessor knee prosthesis.
The Plié 3 Microprocessor Controlled (MPC) Knee is designed to adjust to walking, running, uneven terrain, and occasional water exposure.
The Plié 3’s rapid response technology delivers a more natural transition from swing to stance, the company said.
The Plié 3’s technology is based on swing flexion rather than speed. The prosthesis feels more like a biological knee than earlier devices and reduces users’ effort and energy.
