Bike-a-thon supports disabled kids

Edward Glaser, DPM, of Lyles, TN-based Sole Supports has partnered with Charles C. Southerland, DPM, professor in the School of Podiatric Medicine at Barry University in Miami, FL, to support the Yucatan Crippled Children’s Project, the medical mission Southerland founded in 1996.

On May 15 in Nashville, TN, Southerland, Glaser, and other riders will start a nine-day, 444-mile bike ride down the Natchez Trace Parkway to raise funds and publicize the need for life-changing donations to support treatments and surgeries of the children of the Yucatan Peninsula. The ride will end May 23 in Natchez, MS.

Since the annual mission began Southerland and his colleagues have treated more than 6200 indigent children. To donate, visit the Sole Supports website at www.solesupports.com.
