Aetrex opens retail concept store featuring interactive shopping

Teaneck, NJ-based footwear manufacturer Aetrex in May opened the doors to its first retail concept store in nearby Englewood, NJ.

The store offers Aetrex’s entire line of men’s and women’s products, including athletic, casual, and dress shoes, sandals, boots, copper sole socks, and Lynco orthotics. The new location also offers interactive technology that takes customers’ shopping experience to a new level.

The 2400 square-foot store features iStep Wave digital foot scanning technology, which accurately measures foot size and determines arch type and pressure points in less than 30 seconds. Consumers can also interact with one of two Aetrex “Magic Tables” powered by Microsoft Surface Technology. This touch screen technology enables customers to learn about Aetrex products simply by placing a shoe on the graphical interface and watching the table reveal its features and benefits in a fun, animated manner.

For the really tech-savvy customer, the latest mobile POS technology by Apple streamlines the whole purchase process, from barcode scanning to credit card payment and electronic receipt.
