The American College of Foot and Ankle Pediatrics (ACFAP) installed Louis J. DeCaro, DPM, on July 25 as its new president. DeCaro, who is currently in private practice in West Hatfield, MA, and directs several adult and pediatric biomechanics clinics, specializes in podopediatrics.
DeCaro’s primary goal is is ensuring that his profession helps educate its members, practitioners of all other specialties, and parents about pediatric foot care, and he plans to work closely with the American Podiatric Medical Association to build this stronger educational foundation. He also plans for ACFAP to host its own stand-alone meeting during 2015.
ACFAP’s immediate past president is Ron Raducanu, DPM.
