The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) has appointed Anna Salt Troise as its new chief education strategist. In this role, Troise will direct all AAOS education and peer-reviewed publishing activities, as well as its newly implemented strategy.
Troise most recently served as vice president of medical and open access publishing at Wolters Kluwer where she managed the US, UK, and European medical journal publishing program. She also oversaw business activities for more than 150 proprietary and society medical journals as well as the editorial and business strategies for various medical societies. Prior to joining Wolters Kluwer, she held executive positions at Nature Publishing Group and John Wiley & Sons and has served as keynote speaker and panelist at various conferences within the publishing industry to discuss the trends and future of medical and academic publishing.
